April 22 Update Graphic

April 22, 2020

Good Afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,

As we continue our second week of Learn at Home and eLearning, I want to thank our teachers and staff for all of your efforts in planning and implementing Learn at Home and eLearning lessons. Thank you students for your quality engagement last week and thank you parents and caregivers for all that you are doing to support your family during this difficult time.

A reminder that we are evaluating our technology needs and how to better serve our families and students. Since iPads and Chromebooks require a WiFi connection, we are interested to know whether our students have access to WiFi at home. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey at bit.ly/MSDWTECHSURVEY

We will host our second live interactive Question and Answer Zoom webinar on Thursday, April 23rd, at 7PM. This week's webinar will focus on eLearning for 9-12 students and families. The link for the webinar is bit.ly/WCHSELEARNING

A reminder that teachers in all grade levels are available Monday thru Friday from 9-4. If you have questions regarding Learn at Home or eLearning, please contact your child's teacher or use the hotline number 317-608-0545 or email MSDWarrenELearning@warren.k12.in.us.

Our food outreach program will continue on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11-1 at our 11 locations and Wednesdays from 5:30 - 7 at Post Road Christian Church and Lakeside Elementary. If you have needs beyond what is being offered, please call or email our hotline at 317-869-4308 or MSDWarrenOutreach@warren.k12.in.us

Our 2020 graduation planning committee met this morning to discuss alternatives to celebrate and recognize the class of 2020. These plans will be shared with students and families on or before May 8th.

Preschool and Kindergarten information and online registration for the 2020-2021 school year will be available on our website starting May 4th.

The Census Questionnaire plays an important role in determining funding for our schools, hospitals, roads and other resources for our community. Please complete your census online at 2020Census.gov.

Have a great rest of your week and be safe!

Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
