This is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School. There will be no school tomorrow, Monday, January 15th in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. School resumes at its normal time on Tuesday, January 16th. Please note as we see a shift in weather that in the event we experience precipitation or temperatures that create unsafe conditions a decision will be made to either delay the start of school, early release, or cancel school for the day. You may access the inclement weather information page that can be found on our district website.
Additionally, we are excited to welcome 8th-grade parents this Tuesday from 6-8 pm for our 8th-grade parent night and high school showcase. If you are the parent of a current 8th grader I encourage you to come out and bring your student to learn more about all that WCHS has to offer and the changes that are in the works. Speaking of changes, we have recently presented a proposal to our school board to ask for their vote to shift our current instructional model to a block schedule model for the 2024-2025 school year. This Wednesday there will be a Board Public Work session where we will dive even deeper into what a potential block schedule would look like at WCHS and the impact it will have on students, staff, and the school schedule. Please join us at 6 pm at the Warren Education Community Center, located at 975 N. Post Road, 46219. I would love your participation.
Finally, please continue to emphasize with your students the importance of school attendance, the importance of showing up to school and classes on time, the importance of showing Civility, Order, Respect, and Excellence at all times, and most importantly the importance of actively participating in their learning.
As always thank you for all you do to support your student and WCHS.
