Good Evening, this is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School!
I want to send a huge shout out to all of our 11th graders who showed up in full force to take the required SAT. I am proud to state we had over 96% of 11th graders in attendance. I love seeing students actively engage in their learning. My hope is that ALL of our students continue to show up and actively engage in their learning. The first step is simply showing up. Many are probably tired of hearing about attendance and reporting to class on time but for teachers and administrators we know that the key to ensuring our students meet the goal of graduation is for them to simply show up, on-time, ready to learn.
Letters and emails have gone out to those students who based on attendance since February 5, 2024,have surpassed 10 or more absences/tardies. Please note that we want students to be able to enjoy and participate in all that we have to offer in the form of extracurriculars and activities. We also need students to prioritize what is important. If your student received a letter indicating they are no longer eligible for prom and you have clarifying questions please do not hesitate to reach out with any clarifying question.
Additionally, if there is information that you as a parent or guardian have that would help us support your students' attendance it would be greatly appreciated.
