Dear Warren Central Junior Parent,
The State of Indiana has a state law that requires all seniors to have a 2nd MCV4 (Meningitis) vaccine and two (2) Hepatitis A vaccines by the beginning of their senior year.
Therefore, students who are currently in grade 11 will need to receive these immunizations before they begin school in July 2019. You may receive the immunizations from your Primary Care Doctor, a participating pharmacy or through the Marion County Health Department. Please provide proof of immunization to our school nurse, Debbie Spillman, as soon as your child is immunized. All 12th grade students must provide proof of immunization by the start of the school year or it may result in not receiving their class schedule for the 2019-2020 school year.
The nearest office of the Marion County Health Department is the Northeast District Health Office located at 6042 E. 21st Street. Their phone number is (317) 221-7300. They recommend making an appointment.
Please contact our school nurse Debbie Spillman at 532-6202, if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Mr. Shepler and Dr. Rogers
