Aug 24 Superintendent Update Graphic

Good Afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,

We have a couple of important announcements for the week of August 24th.

We have just completed our 20th day of the school year and are about halfway through the first 9 weeks of the semester. This means that 1st quarter progress reports or midterms will be available starting September 1st. Please note that elementary students do not have a formal 1st quarter progress report, but will receive communication from their teacher, including results from the first round of NWEA testing. Students in grades 5 - 12 will have their progress reports available in ParentVue starting on September 1st. If you are not actively using ParentVue, please use this link for more information or contact your child’s school. Although we have a planned parent teacher conference day on October 20th, you can reach out to your child’s teacher at any time with questions or concerns related to your child’s academic or social growth.

This year, Warren students will participate in three planned eLearning days, with the first one scheduled for Tuesday, September 6th. The purpose of these three days is to provide our staff with full days of professional development. The second eLearning day is Tuesday, November 8th and the third planned eLearning day is Tuesday, February 21st. More details will be shared through teachers and school newsletters. The 22-23 school calendar is linked here.

It is that time of year to get ready and register for the Warren Council PTA Homefest event on Friday, September 9th, from 4 PM - 7 PM. As part of this tradition, students in PK-8 are invited to participate in the Fun Run. Additionally, each elementary school and intermediate middle school’s PTA will be involved and will provide games for kids of all ages. Come see our high school students take on WCHS staff in a kickball game, shop from local vendors, and last but not least, purchase food from some of our local food trucks. Please register by using the following link, warrentwpcouncilpta.square.site, and look for additional information in your child’s school newsletters. We also invite our students, staff, and families to attend the home football game that night against Lawrence Central.

MSD Warren Township, in partnership with the Indiana Immunization Coalition, will be providing a clinic to accommodate immunizations required for school-age children and the COVID vaccine for individuals 5 years and older on Wednesday, September 7th at Moorhead Community Resource Center from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Families are encouraged to pre-register for this event. The registration link for the immunization clinic is patients.vaxcare.com/registration. After clicking on the link, enter the enrollment code, IN65942, and then select Warren Schools-9/7. Linked here and below are the required immunizations for school-age children for the 22-23 school year.

Thank you for your investment in our Warren students, schools, and staff!

 Together…#WarrenWill grow our students!
